Here is a core list of 29 peer review journals in LGBT Q studies. There is no recognized
definition of an "LGBTQ" journal, and of course articles in this area can be published
in any one of hundreds of highly ranked, more general journals in gender studies or human sexuality
research, However, we picked up major scholarly journals identified as focusing on LGBTQ content
according to its title, or where a study of the last several year's volumes showed a heavy slant towards
LGBTQ topics We hope this list may be of interest to early career scholars, graduate students,
librarians, and others interested in how many journals focus on this area.
